Travis Maril, viola

A passionate chamber musician, Travis Maril was a top prize winner at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition with the Hyperion String Quartet. In concert he has collaborated with members of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and principal players of the Cleveland Orchestra, Los Angeles and Rochester Philharmonics, and the San Diego, Cincinnati, Seattle and Dallas Symphonies. Recent festival appearances include La Jolla Music Society's SummerFest, Ojai, Mainly Mozart, Schleswig Holstein, and the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival. Travis is String Coordinator and a viola faculty member at San Diego State University, where he also serves as Co-Director of the SDSU String Academy for pre-college students. In the summers he teaches at the San Diego Summer Music Festival and Interharmony (Italy). Travis was a Trustee Scholar and Outstanding Graduate at the University of Southern California, and earned his masters degree at Rice University.
